A recent survey found the top five car clashes were: back-seat driving, choice of music, speed, singing in the car and smoking. Another survey claims as many as half of young motorists have engaged in sexual activity while behind the wheel.

NISSAN SALES: Nissan expects stronger sales this year than in a decade, says Nissan president Carlos Ghosn. It expects to sell more than three million cars in 2003 for the first time in a decade.

CHINA BUYS BMW: Sales of BMWs are expected to jump more than 60 per cent in China as production of 3-series and 5-series as its new joint venture in China gets underway. BMW's main competitor in China will be the Audi A6, popular among China's political and business leaders.
