Rathfarnham house makes €3.85 million

SalesResults: Butterfield Avenue in Rathfarnham has seen a further jump in land prices following yesterday's sale of number 76, a modest house on 0.66 acres for €3.85 million through Sherry FitzGerald.

The successful bidder is likely to be a housebuilder, as were two of the underbidders, publican David Lavin who owns The Orchard, and an adjoining site with planning for 12 apartments, and Eugene Renehan who earlier this month paid €5.2 million for another adjoining property 72 Butterfield Avenue on 1.1 acres.
