Jeanie Johnston boatyard bought by Aquadome for £1.2 million

The owners of the Aquadome in Tralee, Co Kerry, are expected to turn the former boatyard at Blennerville into a tourist attraction following its purchase last week for £1.2 million (€1.52m). Eddie Barrett of North's handled the auction of the 4.3-acre complex which is likely to be used for leisure purposes. The Jeanie Johnson famine ship which was rebuilt there is now to undergo sea trials off Fenit.
