£635,000 for renovated family home with garden on the river

A Dutch-style semi-detached house at the Ballsbridge end of Anglesea Road is for sale for the second time in as many years.

Number 13 Anglesea Road, a five-bedroom house, will be auctioned by Sherry FitzGerald on May 6th. Two years ago it sold after auction for around £235,000. Since then it has been refurbished from top to bottom. Selling agent Simon Ensor is now quoting £635,000.

The big surprise about this house is its 140-ft back garden which stretches back to the Dodder river. The owners, who are relocating to the UK, carried out a meticulous renovation and in the process managed to create some useful extra living space. At the top of the house, the attic was converted into a large suite that is currently used as a home office.
