Legal abortion in Ireland: Share your experience

The Irish Times would like to hear from women who have had a termination since January

General abortion services were introduced for the first time in the Republic in January 2019, following last year’s vote to repeal the Eighth Amendment - the clause in the Irish Constitution which effectively banned abortion in Ireland.

As part of ongoing coverage, The Irish Times is interested to hear from readers who have had direct experience of legal abortion in Ireland during this time. You can share your story using this form. Contributors might address questions such as: What were the reasons for the termination in your case? What was your experience of the services? How would your experience have been different if the law was not in place?

People are invited to share their experience anonymously or on the record - for possible publication in The Irish Times. Please indicate in your submission if you wish to remain anonymous.
