Yoko Ono - Have You Seen the Horizon Lately?, Ormeau Baths Gallery, November 12th-29th

Yoko Ono - Have You Seen the Horizon Lately?, Ormeau Baths Gallery, November 12th-29th. A retrospective exhibition of the work of Yoko Ono, spanning some 38 years of her output in film, painting, objects, music, conceptualism and writing. Her marriage to John Lennon has tended to eclipse her own artistic career. She was a founder member of the avant garde group Fluxus, for example and has been consistently active across a broad spectrum of media. The show is curated by Chrissie Iles of the Museum of Modern Art, Oxford.

David Byrne - Better Living Through Chemistry and Strange Ritual and Sleepless nights, Belfast city centre billboards and the Ormeau Baths Gal- lery, November 12th-29th.

In effect, two exhibitions by David Byrne of Talking Heads fame. The former is a series of parodic advertising billboards mingling inspirational phrases with drug paraphernalia, the latter a show of eclectic photographic works.

Mary McIntyre - chambers, Old Museum Arts Centre, November 12th-29th. Photographs of overlooked or forgotten public spaces, the kind of anonymous interiors that we take for granted, presented in large-scale light boxes.
