Well, well, well – how far this Bangor/Donaghadee trio has come in such a short space of time. Less than two years ago, Two Door Cinema Club stuffed venues such as Dublin’s Olympia. Now, following the major success of their 2010 debut album (Tourist History) and its follow-up (Beacon), they arrive at the country’s largest indoor venue without so much as a by-your-leave.

Certainly, and despite its flaws, Beacon’s success has been hard earned. With a Meteor Choice Music Prize nomination now in the bag (2DCC won the darned thing two years ago), you can be assured that this year will continue to see the band purposefully (has there been a more purposeful Irish band in recent years?) stride onwards and upwards.
