We’ll just say it: we feckin’ love Ash. We reckon the Downpatrick trio (who, will be joined here by former member Charlotte Hatherley) are probably the best punk/pop act of their kind, and one of the very few who can weld authentic rock/riff power to the kind of melodies you just can’t shift out of your skull.

The Best of Ashis released this weekend, but before that we've got Free All Angels, Ash's breakthrough album, which celebrates its 10th birthday.

The band will play Free All Angelsin its entirety, but we assume that once that's out of the way, we'll be treated to more hits – including, one can hope, tracks from their career-best A-Z series of singles. So, you know, prepare yourselves for sweet pop, scathing punk and soaring tunes. We think this one is going to be loud. Very loud.
