Limerick-based independent label Out on a Limb Records will host a day-long summer party tomorrow. Beginning at 2pm and running until 2am, the inaugural Dolan’s Summer Party will feature sets by artists signed to the label, some new Limerick-based acts, and several others from around the country. Rest, Windings, Crayonsmith and Owensie will join the up-and-coming acts such as Squarehead and Toby Kaar, while there will also be a few names that are perhaps not familiar to Irish music fans – yet! – such as Peter Delaney, Nostril Shorts and Baby Blue Eyes.
"We think we've put together a really well-rounded bill, and the key factor is that it is pretty accessible, given that tickets are just €5," label co-founder Ciarán Ryan said.
This month also marks the label's eighth birthday. "A lot has changed since, but we still feel that we are keeping to the aims of the label — we've always been about quality of releases, as opposed to quantity of releases," said Ryan, adding that there will be further OOAL releases before the end of the year. outonalimbrecords.com
