It’s not just The Killers who’ll be releasing their traditional Christmas charity single – this year, a number of Irish artists are planning a festive offensive on the charts. Dublin musician Owensie has written and recorded a new song called The Old Breadline in aid of Limerick’s St Gabriel’s School and Centre.
Coronas frontman Danny O’Reilly and Sinéad O’Connor have teamed up with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra to cover When a Child is Born for AWARE, while folk duo The Lost Brothers are donating the proceeds of their single St Christopher to homeless charity The Peter McVerry Trust. All releases are available digitally now.
