Thomas Moen Hermansen has been so prolific that it’s a little surprising to see a press release refer to this as his debut solo album. But this turns out to be the case, as the Norwegian producer leaves regular sparring buddy Hans-Peter Lindstrøm at home for this solo excursion into deepest cosmic disco waters. Primetime music for space cadets and astronauts, Hermansen’s sonic buzz is built with layer upon layer of deep house, disco, stoner rock, prog, Krautrock and Balearic wigouts.

Each trippy track is beautifully charted and smartly enacted, with shimmering guitars, lush synths and odd shards of brass punctuating Hermansen's voyage around the dancefloor. Such tracks as Uggebugg, Wendy Not Walterand Slangermusikkare also perfectly measured for the long haul, with each one's distinctive bells and whistles not distracting from the overall thrust of the tune.
