A WIDE range of decorative and collectors' items is promised at tomorrow's antiques and collectables fair in Newman House, Dublin, starting at 11 a.m. In the silver section, of particular interest are a matched set of George II pistol grip knives and forks and a strawberry dish by Thomas Walker of Dublin, dating from 1730.

Among the fair's other collectables is an original pamphlet issued by Dublin Zoo in 1834 with a list of all the animals then enclosed, as well as an early Cork Total Abstinence Society pledge, signed by one Anne Cotton and dated September

29th, 1840.

There's also a membership certificate from the Loyal National Repeal Association of Ireland, dated August 1843 (The Repeal Association was founded by Daniel O'Connell to press for the repeal of the 1800 Act of Union), and a postcard addressed to Charles Stewart Parnell at Cork's Imperial Hotel.
