Glastonbury 2011 12 cert,
Orange UK, iOS (also Android)****
If you’re heading across the water to Glastonbury, you need this app. The official Glastonbury app has all the information you need about the festival – and probably a little that you don’t – to ensure your weekend goes off without a hitch.
It comes with an interactive map that uses your phone’s GPS, so there’s no excuse for losing your way to the next stage, camping area or (most likely) the bar, and a planner that will gently remind you when you should be making your way to the next tent. It will even tell you who is playing now and what act is up next, making it practically idiot-proof.
If a line-up changes, you'll be alerted through the app too, so no nasty surprises. And you'll be able to keep up with festival news through feeds from Glastonbury and the Guardian.
It’s also got the by-now obligatory tie-in with Facebook, so you can let your friends know just how good of a time you’re having.
In fact, the only thing it can’t help you with is the weather. You’re on your own for that.
