The caption to a picture on page 4 in last Saturday's editions of actor Stephen Rea and Ms Carol Murphy incorrectly stated that Ms Murphy was one of "80 visually impaired volunteers taking part in the first of four fundraising treks next autumn for Fighting Blindness". In fact, Ms Murphy was publicising the launch by Fighting Blindness of its appeal for volunteers (some visually impaired) for these fundraising treks and she will not be taking part.

In a report in the Out of the West column in yesterday's editions it was incorrectly stated that the film Milk, Bread, Sugar And A Little Respect was made by the Cara Youth Film Club Unit in Ballina. In fact, this film was produced by a group from the Western Care Association's Ridgepool Training Centre consisting of disabled people from the local area.
