Outgoing MEP Mr Pat "The Cope" Gallagher and Mr Noel Treacy TD were selected last weekend as Fianna Fail candidates for the Connacht-Ulster constituency. A caption in yesterday's issues incorrectly included Mr Terry Leyden with the successful candidates.

The caption under a picture in yesterday's coverage of The Irish Times/ESB Theatre Awards wrongly described actress Susannah Harker as Susannah Parkes.

A report in yesterday's Business and Finance section headed "Murpet Fish set to acquire salmon farming interests of two Irish firms" stated that Murpet Fish was owned by Dafjord Laks, Mr James Murrin and other investors from the Killybegs fishing fleet. There are no "other investors" involved.
