Mobile data and services firm Zamano expects pre-tax earnings for the first half of its 2007 financial year to be up 15 per cent on the same period last year.
In a trading statement issued yesterday, the Dublin and London-listed company said it expected earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation to benefit from "a further acceleration in growth" following a full six months' contribution of Eirborne.
In April, Zamano acquired Eirborne, a Dublin-based mobile entertainment provider, for an initial cash consideration of €1.7 million.
The total consideration is capped at €8.5 million.
John O'Shea, chief executive, said Zamano was "more than happy to pay whatever we have to pay" given the contribution Eirborne is making to the business.
Zamano is continuing to develop new products and will shortly launch a hosted WAP billing service for customers, which Mr O'Shea said will allow them to have much more "granular" charging for mobile content.
It is also developing a video mail and web text messaging service for users of social networking sites such as Bebo.
The company has announced that its finance director, Cormac Ó Tighearnaigh, is leaving the company in mid-September.
He joined the company in May but was subsequently offered a job with a larger business in an unrelated sector.
Zamano intends to announce its interim results on September 20th, when it will provide a further update on trading for the second half of the year.
