The Wall Street Journal will redesign its venerable front page, which for 60 years has resisted the use of photographs - and more recently colour - and almost never uses headlines more than one-column wide, executives of the financial newspaper told a New York media conference sponsored by Credit Suisse First Boston. The move aims to attract readers and widen its advertising base.
