Valentia secures 75% of Eircom

Valentia had received acceptances in respect of 75.47 per cent of the issued share capital of Eircom by Wednesday. The company, which needs to secure 80 per cent acceptances, extended the closing date from last Friday - at which point it had 70.52 per cent acceptances, to 3 p.m. today.
