The regulator for the telecommunications industry Ms Etain Doyle is to make a full statement on Friday on the current situation regarding new licences for the cable industry.
Only two companies had indicated their willingness to accept the new terms by the time the deadline had expired at midnight on Monday. The companies are Cablelink and Casey CableVision.
