One More Thing:Politicians across Europe who have been the subject of Ryanair's cheeky newspaper advertising will probably have cheered this week at the news that two of their colleagues in Sweden had won a settlement from Michael O'Leary.

Former Swedish prime minister Goran Persson and ex-foreign minister Leila Freivalds received about €8,000 in damages between them from the low-fares airline after their images were used in an ad without their permission.

Ryanair ran pictures of Persson and Freivalds in a campaign in February 2006, after a series of crises had hit the Swedish government in relation to its response to the Asian tsunami disaster.

The pair were absent from a parliamentary debate on the matter and Ryanair ran an ad with the caption: "Time to leave the country?"

The Swedes plan to donate the money to charity. Given the amount of publicity it generated, not to mention sales, Ryanair probably reckons it was €8,000 well spent.
