Nova Ljubljanska Banka, Slovenia’s biggest bank, said yesterday it would seek €400 million in fresh capital via a rights issue, as it sought to reassure markets ahead of the publication of the stress test results.
In the event, NLB squeaked through, with a tier-one capital ratio under the stress scenario of just 6.3 per
cent.
The bank said it would propose the capital increase at a shareholder meeting in September.
