Anglo Irish Bank recently appointed Mr Anton Stanzel to the board of directors as a non-executive director

Anglo Irish Bank recently appointed Mr Anton Stanzel to the board of directors as a non-executive director. Mr Stanzel is a former director general of the Ministry of Finance in Austria and had responsibility for banking, insurance and stock exchange supervision. He has also served as chairman of the supervisory board of the Austrian Federal Financing Agency and in the role of state commissioner to a number of Austrian banks.

E-business and re-engineering consultants BSM has named Ms Eithne McKernan as sales and marketing director. Ms McKernan has more than 25 years of experience in the IT and business sectors in the Republic, having worked for a number of IT companies, including CARA and ROSS Systems Ireland. She has computer applications qualifications from Trinity College Dublin and MIS and finance diplomas from the Irish Management Institute.

Data storage specialist Xnet recently expanded its sales division. It has made four new appointments and one promotion in the team. Mr John Rutherford, who joined Xnet in May 2000, has been promoted to sales manager. Prior to that, he worked with RAM Technology. Mr Jeffrey Conroy, who has been appointed sales consultant with Xnet, previously worked as a sales executive for Dell Computers and Cable & Wireless. Mr Ron Elliott, formerly sales director with Toshiba in Ireland, is now an account manager with Xnet. Ms Carol-Anne Hernon, who is also an account manager, worked previously with Anacomp Ireland and Eurologic Systems. Mr Gerard Duffy, now account manager with Xnet's sales team, was previously business development manager with International Financial Services.

Mr Alan Lowther has been appointed company secretary with the IAWS Group. Mr Lowther, who has been with the group since 1978, is a chartered accountant and was previously corporate development manager.

Inflow, the provider of Internet data centres, has unveiled its management team for its Dublin centre. The team includes Mr Martin Keogh, sales manager, Mr Nigel Coffey, financial controller, and Mr Richard Solly, operations manager. Mr Keogh has 16 years' experience in IT and telecoms. Prior to joining Inflow, he spent six years with Esat Telecom, where he held several key positions, including regional sales manager and national sales manager. Mr Coffey worked as finance director of Novo Nordisk before joining Inflow, while Mr Solly joined Inflow from Global Crossing.

Ms Rachel Bowden has joined advertising agency Bates Ireland as account manager. A native of Dublin, Ms Bowden graduated with an Honours BA in marketing from Glamorgan University in Wales before completing the Unilever International three-year business education programme. She has worked for Unilever in Ireland and in Germany, where she was European brand manager for Dove and Lux.
