New range of Irish ice cream on market
Celebrity chef and cookery writer Ms Darina Allen yesterday introduced her new range of ice cream.
"We have the finest dairy produce in the world here in Ireland," said Ms Allen at the presentation of the ice cream at the Friends of the National Gallery House in Merrion Square, Dublin.
The product evolved from a two year R&D programme and is the first in a long line of products from her new business, the Darina Allen Food Company. The ice cream has been produced and marketed by Matrix foods and comes in four flavours, Vanilla, Praline, Honeycomb and Chocolate, costing £2.79 for a 750 ml tub.
