A US federal judge turned down Apples attempt to stop Amazon.com from using the phrase “appstore” to sell software applications for mobile devices.

US district judge Phyllis Hamilton denied Apples motion for a preliminary injunction in the trademark-infringement case, according to a filing yesterday. – (Bloomberg)
