Hewlett-Packard benefits

Hewlett-Packard Ireland's 2,130 employees are set to benefit from a once-off reward payment to all employees, through the company's "reinvention" across all business sectors. On June 5th, every Hewlett-Packard employee worldwide will receive an option to buy 100 stocks at a substantially discounted fixed price to be determined on that date. At current market prices, 100 Hewlett-Packard shares are worth $13,000 (€14,355). The announcement coincided with the company's second-quarter results, which topped Wall Street estimates. The company reported a rise of 15 per cent in revenues to $12 billion for the quarter ended April 30th. It reported net earnings of $899 million, a 17 per cent increase on the second quarter last year.
