Increases in market share by its steel and plant hire divisions, coupled with the exceptional performance of its new store in Blanchardstown, have been the main driving forces behind the recent success of Heiton Holdings, chairman, Mr Stephen O'Connor, told the company's annual general meeting yesterday.

When questioned by a shareholder about a possible take-over by the Grafton Group, which now holds a 14.5 per cent stake in the company, Mr O'Connor said Heiton had a lot of other shareholders as well as Grafton and was pleased with them all.
