Harrods chairman considers Irish market

The chairman of Harrods department store in London, Mr Mohamed Al Fayed, is considering opening a retail outlet in the Republic, according to a spokeswoman for the company.

Mr Al Fayed has yet to identify a suitable site, said the spokeswoman, but he believes the Irish retail market has "good growth possibilities".
