Fyffes directors set to retire

Fruit distributor Fyffes has announced the retirement of two directors from the company.

Fruit distributor Fyffes has announced the retirement of two directors from the company.

Mr Roland Benner told the company that he intended to retire as a non-executive director from December 31st, 2001. Mr Benner has been a member of the board since 1983, when the Benner family fruit business in Northern Ireland became part of the group.

Mr John Ellis also informed Fyffes that, following his recent retirement as an executive director, he intended to retire as a director of the company, also with effect from December 31st, 2001. He joined the board in 1991 following the purchase of Fyffes Group Limited in London in 1986.
