The former chief executive of Greencore and current chief executive of British transport group Dr Gerry Murphy, received total package of £470,000 since is appointment at NFC. Dr Murphy's £470,000 package includes £390,000 covering loss of share options and other benefits he enjoyed with Greencore.

The appointment of Dr Murphy was made following a six-month search for a new chief after the resignation of former chief executive, Mr Peter Sherlock, in August 1994.
