FIRST National Building Society has appointed its group secretary, Mr Paul Reville, to the society's board of directors. Mr Reville will be the fourth executive director, joining chief executive Mr John Smyth, finance director Mr Tony Shanahan and group operations director Mr Gerry Murphy.

First National has also appointed Mr Chris Heard, currently managing director of the Mortgage Trust subsidiary in the UK, as general manager Britain while Mr Dermot Power, currently regional manager south, has been appointed to the new position of assistant general manager with responsibility for sales development. Mr Robert Bergin replaces Mr Reville as group secretary.
