FIVE Irish companies are to go forward to the European final judging of the European Design Prize, They were chosen as the best examples of firms who use design to strengthen their competitiveness. The five companies are Eurologic Systems, MDS Telephones, Mediacom, Trintech and Vitalograph. Products manufactured by the firms include medical equipment and a video conferencing system. The organisation of the European Design Prize was supported by An Bord Trachtala and Forbairt.
