Firm seeks to buy GM's Hummer unit

Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery said it is still working on plans to buy the General Motors Hummer unit after the BBC reported that Chinese regulators intended to block the deal.

“We do not yet have a definitive agreement, but are developing our proposals with GM and Hummer,” a spokesman said, promising to continue to engage with the authorities. – (Bloomberg)
