More than 200 government, legal and business experts are taking part in two days of meetings in Copenhagen to discuss ways of promoting security on the Internet through digital signatures and encryption. The hearing, sponsored by the Danish government and the EU, will clear the way for new EU legislation on digital signatures, which are considered crucial for transactions ranging from filing tax forms to buying goods over the Internet.
