Kildare-based Homesecure has announced the creation of 140 jobs over the next three years.

The residential security company said 100 jobs are to come on stream within the next four months.

Homesecure is looking to recruit engineering, administration and sales staff for its operation in Newbridge.

Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton welcomed today's announcement.
