ABOUT 100 members of the Eurotunnel small shareholders' association staged a demonstration yesterday outside the British Embassy in Paris to demand an extension of the tunnel concession for a total of 999 years.

Shareholders led by association chairman Mr Christian Cambier presented a letter for the ambassador with their request for an extension of the operating licence in exchange for their approval of a pact to restructure $8 billion of bank debt.
