Call to unlock profits

NATIONAL Grid Group, the British electricity transmission monopoly, yesterday called on the industry regulator to recognise the company's "outstanding performance" when he draws up the new price control regime. The group made its appeal as it revealed its pre-tax profits for the year to the end of March were up to £616.5 million sterling.
