US Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier has won a new contract for its CSeries jet, which should help secure jobs at the company’s Belfast manufacturing facility.

The contract has been awarded by Sweden’s Braathens Leasing, which wants 10 of the aircraft and will take options on 10 more. The composite wings for the CSeries are made in Belfast. The agreement revives Bombardier’s efforts to establish a market for the CSeries, which is designed to compete with Boeing and Airbus SAS in aircraft with 100 to 149 seats. – (Bloomberg)
