A squad of 15 has been announced by the Irish Women's Cricket Union for three one-day, 50-overs international matches against world champions Australia next Friday, Saturday and Monday. The Friday and Saturday matches will be played at College Park while Monday's game will be at Anglesea Road and play will start at 1.00 p.m. each day.

Miriam Grealey of YMCA will again lead Ireland, and the vice-captain will be Catriona Beggs of Malahide.

Belinda Clark, voted the Player of the Series when Australia won the World Cup in India last December, is the touring team's skipper. Among their many quality players is Cathryn Fitzpatrick, currently rated the world's fastest bowler in women's cricket.
