West Ham fans yesterday rejected Paul Ince's plea to end their eight-year campaign against him. The Liverpool and England skipper wanted to bury the hatchet for posing in a Manchester United shirt in 1989, while he was still a Hammers player.
But the latest issue of the Hammers fanzine, On A Mission, responds by telling Ince he will never be forgiven.
Editor Shane Barber writes: "I still take the greatest exception to Paul Ince. I'm delighted to chant Judas at him as lustily as ever because I remember him posing in a Manchester United shirt while he was still a West Ham player."
Ince had made his plea for forgiveness in the latest Hammers news magazine. He said: "I wish I could turn back the clock, I definitely would not have done it. I can understand the fans' reaction "
