Euro 2004 play-offs/second leg: Turkey will be missing suspended goalkeeper Rustu Recber and defenders Fatih Akyel and Emre Asik. Umit Davala could replace Fatih Akyel, while Deniz Baris is tipped to stand in for Asik.

Striker Hakan Sukur is expected to play despite not even being on the bench on Saturday amid media reports of an internal dispute.

Midfielder Yildiray Basturk, who has been suffering from a back problem, and flu-hit defender Alpay Ozalan both missed the first leg and are not expected to be fit.

Latvia coach Aleksandr Starkovs, hailed a national genius after their first leg win, says his team will play a tight, defensive game in Istanbul. Two key defenders, Mihails Zemlinskis and Dzintars Zirnis, are back from suspension, but striker Marian Pahars is doubtful after missing the game in Riga due to a groin injury. Midfielder Valentins Lobanovs is suspended.
