Improving filly Star Crystal turned the Booker Foodservice Conditions Stakes into a one horse show at soggy Salisbury yesterday. Henry Cecil's charge took control under Kieren Fallon over six furlongs out and the pair stretched well clear of Last Christmas to pass the post with a dozen lengths to spare.

Speaking from his Warren Place headquarters by telephone Cecil said: "She's going the right way, is very genuine and I think she will have no trouble getting two miles as she was not stopping over a mile and three quarters today

"However, having said that I don't think the opposition was much and I'll try and find her a conditions race next as she's rated 88 at present and too high for handicaps.

"If the worst came to the worst she may have to go for one of the Cup races later in the season as there aren't that may races for fillies like her," added the Newmarket trainer.
