ST MUNCHIN’S College powered their way into the semi-finals at Coonagh yesterday. But it was only in the closing quarter of an entertaining tie that the winners put the outcome beyond doubt.

St Munchin’s College led 10-0 at the interval, thanks to a splendid individual try from impressive number eight and captain Ger Burke.

A fine try from centre Dara Turner after an hour helped St Munchin’s to an 18-3 lead.

Ardscoil Rís hit back with a splendid individual try from their exciting centre Cian O’Shea.

Tries from winger Conor Cunnane and fullback Jack Murray finally secured St Munchin’s their passage into the last four.
