GAA NEWS: SCHOOLS ACROSS Ireland yesterday took part in the GAA's 125th anniversary celebrations by focusing their efforts to promote the Go-Games programme as the model of maximum participation for children playing Gaelic Games.

Scoil Bhríde in Blanchardstown in Dublin started their day’s celebrations by staging blitzes, and the GAA has teamed up with Cumann na mBunscol to produce a special programme for primary schools.

New GAA president Christy Cooney visited Scoil Bhríde together with Dublin senior football manager and trainer Pat Gilroy and Mickey Whelan and vice-captain Barry Cahill, a past pupil.

Meanwhile, tickets for tomorrow’s NFL finals in Croke Park can be purchased and printed at home on www.gaa.ie.
