FISH and chips chain Harry Ramsden's yesterday served up its latest half- year figures and said profits had risen 19 per cent, partly thanks to the expanding of the franchise into Singapore and Saudi Arabia.
The Guisley, Leeds-based company made taxable profits of Pounds 202,000 sterling in the six months to the end of March, up from Pounds 169,491 in 1996.
Earnings per share rose to 1.5p from 1.3p, and the company is holding its interim dividend at 1p.
