KEVIN PRENDERGAST sends Iktidar and Tamani, both owned by Hamdan Al Maktoum, to contest the two Flat maidens at Roscommon this evening, and these two fillies should come through their tests successfully.

Unraced as a two-year-old, Iktidar goes for the Lecarrow Maiden. She ran a close-up third to Parade Sauvage in what was a high quality maiden at Naas. Possibly she was flattered by her proximity to the winner, who had trouble finding an opening, but it was still a fine effort.

Separated by a length in fourth and fifth places in that Naas race were La Lola and Fireball and they take on Iktidar again. La Lola, attempting to give Frances Crowley her first success as a professional, has three lengths to find on Iktidar and may be stretched to do so.

Tamani had some reasonable form as a juvenile and was staying on well on her reappearance when fourth to Zaynal at Naas.

Former jockey Mickey Flynn is quietly establishing himself in the training ranks and he did extremely well to have eight winners last season with his small string. He saddles Mile A Minute for the Roscommon Chase and this progressive five-year-old could make a successful follow up to what was a convincing Kilbeggan victory.
