EILEEN ROSE POWER comfortably made the cut in the British Women's Open Amateur Strokeplay Championship at Conwy yesterday.

The Kilkenny golfer, who was so disappointed to miss out on a Curtis Cup place earlier this year, matched the par of 75 in difficult, windy conditions to add to her 76 of the previous day for a 151 total four strokes inside the qualifying total.

"I am quite happy. I played well today, hitting the ball solidly and in the main my putting was good," said Power, who next week plays in the European individual championship in Denmark.
