The good news for Rathsallagh members is that Brendan McDaid has been appointed teaching professional at the Club. Since turning professional in 1985, Brendan has carved out a reputation as one of Ireland's foremost golf instructors. He is coach to the Munster Ladies and Munster Youths teams and was formerly coach to the Leinster Ladies side from 1993 to 1995. The former amateur international was captain of the Irish Section PGA in 1997. Brendan has coached his sister Eileen Rose, the winner of three Irish championships and her husband, Eddie Power, also a three times winner of the Irish Championship. Willie Dhommee, Brendan's teaching assistant will also be moving to Rathsallagh.
