Clare 0-18 Cork 1-9:BOBBY DUGGAN proved to be Clare's hero in Ennis last evening when he struck eight unanswered points after the break, effectively ending Cork's ambitions in the Munster Minor Championship for this year. Duggan's heroics, plus a tremendous second-half performance by all of his team-mates, ensured a home semi-final against Limerick

Cork looked sharp early on and raced into an four-point lead by the 13th minute. Clare, who were slow to settle, eventually broke their duck in the 14th minute with a Shane Taylor effort from play, kick-starting a performance that earned them a deserved share of the spoils (0-7 apiece) by the half-time whistle.

On the restart, Clare displayed a hunger and passion that was absent in the opening half and with the introduction of James Shanahan, in his third year as a minor, into the attack, Clare and Duggan took a grip of the game.
