Monaghan 2-10 Antrim 1-2:MONAGHAN had little difficulty in booking their place in the semi-final of the Ulster minor football championship at the expense of Antrim in Clones yesterday.

Monaghan led at half-time by 2-1 to 1-2, the goals coming from Conor McCarthy in the third minute and David McAllister in the 11th minute with Antrims coming from a penalty by Eoin Fleming just before the break.

By the end of the third quarter Monaghan had extended their lead to nine points and they went on to add further scores as the game petered out as a contest in the final 10 minutes.
