TONY McCOY (above) is set to resume riding at the earliest opportunity after surviving an injury scare yesterday. The champion jump jockey elect was ruled out for the remainder of the meeting after taking a crashing fall from Polden Pride in the first race at Cheltenham.
McCoy was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital amid fears that he may have broken wrist. But x rays revealed that there was no fracture and he was allowed to go home.
"They checked things over and fortunately there's no problem. He will be back on Saturday the next day there's jumps racing, said agent Dave Roberts.
